London’s love of curry began back in the 1800’s. As Britishers returned from India and ships anchored at London’s bustling docks, an explosion of flavour showered the capital and the first London curry house was born.

After the second world war curry houses popped up in bombed-out London chip shops. Selling both curry and fish and ships, they introduced the capital to its new favourite dish. They flourished over the following decades, becoming a staple of the city’s dining scene.

In 1999, a young man set foot in London for the first time to visit his girlfriend. She suggested they go for a curry and that meal changed his life. Born from a culmination of cultures brought together by people that call the capital home.

That first London curry was an experience and a taste that simply didnt exist anywhere else. From that day on, the man and his now his wife have been on a mission to introduce the famous curry houses of London to the world.
