London’s love of curry began back in the 1800s. As ships anchored at London’s bustling docks, an explosion of flavour showered the capital and the first London curry house was born.
Born from a culmination of cultures brought together by people that call the capital home, London curry flourished over the decades — becoming a staple of the city’s dining scene. Tikka Masala is considered the national dish of England.
A taste that simply doesn’t exist anywhere else. London curry has been a way of life for generations — and now, we’re on a mission to introduce the famous curry houses of London to South Florida.
1800s
Britishers return from India. Ships anchor at London's bustling docks. An explosion of flavour showers the capital.
1940s
Curry houses pop up in bombed-out London chip shops and introduce the capital to its new favourite dish.
2001
Tikka Masala — the most famous curry internationally — is declared the National dish of England.
